Statement of Purpose of Australian Shia Gathering Place
Purposes
(1) Principal purposes
The principal purposes for which the association is established are:
a) Encourage and assist the development of Shia social, religious and cultural life in Australia;
b) To acquire, equip, maintain, and manage premises for use as a youth centers, schools, worship places and any other property for the shia community in Australia;
c) To take care of the media and the relevance to the Shia community of Australia including news, commentary and discussion, and to develop programs of cultural, educational and social significance to the shia community;

d) To provide an opportunity for people belonging to the of Shia Muslim community in Australia to congregate and provide prayer services, counseling, guidance and religious teaching about Shia Islamic Law and customs.

e) To provide pastoral care, ministering and assist individuals and family unit members with social, family and community issues.

f) To conduct religious services for births, holy days, marriage, funerals and burials and other religious rites.

g) To organize and prepare the celebration for all the Shia occasions during the Hijri year. To provide support and
